our Food Pantry
Our food supply is maintained from food drives held by local churches, organizations and households in our community. Food is also purchased with donated funds. We make an effort to assure our clients a well-balanced variety of foods. In our pantry, we have nine freezers and five coolers. This ensures that families are receiving not only canned items, but fresh produce, milk, eggs and a variety of proteins. Helping Hands aims to provide healthier food to the community.
What can you donate?
We always need food. Nonperishable goods are what we typically ask the community to donate. Items that we ask for are: Peanut butter, dry beans, dry rice, dry soup (Ramen), boxed macaroni and cheese, canned fruit, canned beans, canned soup, canned veggies (corn, green beans, carrots, potatoes and etc.) and jelly.
Our clothing closet
The clothing closet receives the majority of its clothes from the generous donations of our community. Our clients are able to choose 5-8 outfits per person. Helping Hands endeavors to provide new undergarments, socks and diapers for each person in need.
what can you donate?
Helping Hands accepts ONLY the following items: gently used clothing (without rips, tears or stains), blankets, linens, towels and shoes. Other donations to consider include: New socks, diapers, depends and new undergarments. Men's clothing and shoes are items that we always have a great need for.
